Doris Elaine Kent Wheatley, 85 of Zanesville, passed away Friday June 24, 2016 at Genesis Hospital. She was born August 8, 1930 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Bernard and Jean Renicks Andrews. Throughout her working career Elaine worked at Sears, sold Avon and retired from Kent Allstate Insurance Agency. She was a member of Duncan Falls United Methodist Church. Through her retirement she was involved with missions work in Mexico, taught Sunday school and worked with the Youth Ministries. Elaine is survived by two sons, Keith (Elena) Kent of Zanesville and David (Gina) Kent of Milford, NH; one sister Evelyn Stiers of Zanesville; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Allen Kent and two sons Karl and Kevin Kent. Memorial contributions may be made to the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church 296 Main Street, Duncan Falls, OH 43734. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday June 28, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Rev. Karen Osborn officiating. |
