| About | Dorothy Lou “Dottie” Schluessler, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Willow Haven with her son and family by her side. She was born October 2, 1945, in Zanesville to the late William and Dorothy Knight Northrop. She was a 1963 graduate of Zanesville High School. Dottie was an Assistant Vice President at Mutual Federal Bank and also worked at Century National Bank. She was co-owner of the West Pike Shell and enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, quilting and embroidery with her best friend Sharon French. She also enjoyed trips to NASCAR races with her husband, Paul, who was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan, but above all else, her grandchildren were her world. Dorothy is surivived by a son Paul W. Schluessler; two grandchildren: Marcus (Haley) Schluessler and Kaycie (Nate) Lawler; three great grandchildren: Brinley, Haven and Jaxx; and three sisters: Linda (Robert) Wilson, Gloria Edgell and Kathy (John) Wetzel; a sister-in-law Christine Bitler; brother-in-law Doug Snider; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Schluessler; her father and mother-in-law: Robert and Pauline (Carney) Schluessler; a great grandson Maxxen Schluessler; sister Debbie Snider; brothers in law: Charles Bitler and John Edgell; and niece Angie Snider. Graveside services will be held at 12PM Monday, June 10, 2024, at Zanesville Memorial Park. |
