| About | Douglas Leo Gatewood, 60, of Zanesville, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. Douglas was born on March 16, 1950 in Champagne, Il to the late Leonard and Lee Rasmussen Gatewood. He was employed by The Kroger Company and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Douglas served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the US Army during Viet-Nam. He is survived by his wife, Donna Estadt Gatewood of the home; a daughter, Jamie (Wes Parmer) Van Meter of Zanesville; a son, Jason (Emily Pennington) Gatewood of Zanesville; a step daughter, Angela (Joe) Sipos of Zanesville; a brother, Jerry Gatewood of Florida; a sister, Peggy Stouffer of Cincinnati; his mother-in-law, Bernice Estadt of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Kenzie, Dallas, and Lincoln; three step grandchildren, Connor, Cameron, and Chloe; a host of wonderful friends; and his dog "Maggie". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step daughter, Lisa Fisher. In keeping with Douglas's wish's the family has chosen no calling hours or funeral service, a cremation will take place. |
