| About | Douglass "Doug" Barclay Taylor, 82 of Zanesville died at 2:35 AM Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Cedar Hill Care Center following a long illness. He was born March 16, 1939 in Zanesville, OH the son of Donald Theodore Taylor and Constance Maxine Culberston Taylor. Doug was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and a retired History Teacher at Zanesville High School having taught for over 30 years. Most of his life he enjoyed coin collecting and operating his HAM Radio making friends with people all over the world. Doug also enjoyed traveling to and vacationing in Ogunquit Main. He is survived by first cousins; John Taylor of New Albany, Ben Taylor of Pittsburgh, Gary Taylor of Pittsburgh, Virginia Wasserman of Mt. Gilead, June Grunden of Florida, and Sherrie Wolf of Indiana, as well as many second and third cousins. Doug was preceded in death by his parents as well several first cousins. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park. |
