| About | Jackson, Ohio - Dustin Jacob Towning, age 38 of Jackson, Ohio passed away at 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. Dustin was born on May 24, 1979, in Keflavik, Iceland. He was the son of Danny Towning and Patricia McCracken. He grew up in Zanesville and attended Maysville Elementary and Middle school and graduated from Zanesville High School. Dustin was a skilled diesel mechanic and worked for many years managing a spring shop in Jackson, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, lifting weights, and working on cars. He owned and restored several Ford Mustangs. Dustin was known for his friendly demeanor and great smile. Dustin is survived by his son, Austin Jacob Towning of Jackson, Ohio, father Danny Towning of Zanesville, mother Patricia (Bruce) McCracken of Wilmington, North Carolina, brother Christian Towning of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, sister Jessica and Anthony (Towning) Ovitt of Hubert, North Carolina and a nephew A.W. Ovitt and brand new neice, Adalyn Ovitt . As well as special friends Sara Edwards, Gary and Roxy Smith, Teha Hutchinson and Kyle Weber. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack W. and Mary D. Towning. William Thompson & Son Funeral Home in White Cottage is handling the arrangements. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. |
