About | Earle B. Tilton, 90, of Columbus, died Staurday, November 18, 1989, at First Community Village. Mr. Tilton was a graduate of the Ohio State University and Franklin College of Law. He was a retired attorney and also retired from Nationwide Insurance Co. after 40 years of service. At the time of his retirement he was director of life and health underwriting. Following his retirement from Nationwide, he developed new programs for Grange Mutual Insurance Co. He served in the U.S. Army during WW I, and during WWII he served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Ohio Bar Association and the First Church of Christ Scientist. Born May 30, 1899, in Zanesville, he was a son of Leslie A. Tilton and Clara Barrett. His wife, Lillian preceded him in death in 1969. He is survived by a niece and three cousins. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park. |
