About Eleanor Lee Harper, 90 of Zanesville died at 10:46 A.M. Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Clay Gardens Place.

She was born on Friday, July 17, 1931 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of William Sherman Downey and Geneve Daffna Starett Downey.

Eleanor was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, Nashport Ohio, a graduate of Lash High School and a homemaker. She was an avid bowler having bowled in several leagues when she was bowling. Later in life she mostly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Linda Meek, Bernie (Annette) Morris, Vickie (Andy) Kennedy and Doug (Loretta) Morris; Grandchildren, B.G. (Kina) Morris, Kreg (Amy) Morris, Brandi (John Carpenter) Phalen, Chasity Lincicome, Amanda Duff, Kenny Humphrey and Kye (Taylor) Morris; 11 Great Grandchildren; 3 siblings, Richard Downey, Patsy Lichtner and William “Bubby” (Mary) Downey; several nieces, nephews, cousins, her extended Harper including, four stepchildren, Faye Harper, Rick (Bonnie) Harper, Emma Conkle and Raymond (Diane) Harper Jr.; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren & Meek families and numerous friends including Carol Caynor & Bonnie Billman.

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Harper and her first husband, Bernard Gene Morris Sr.; a stepson, Donald Harper; two stepdaughters, Donna Smith and Marlyn Moreland; a granddaughter, Terri Lee Allese and a son-in-law, John Meek.

Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with funeral service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Rowland officiating. Burial will conclude at the Greenwood Cemetery.
