Elizabeth C. 'Beth' Weidig, 50 of Zanesville, died 11:09 PM Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital following a brief illness. She was born Tuesday, July 28, 1959 in Zanesville, daughter of Charles A and H. Arlene(Bowser) Irvin. She married David Weidig on Thursday, November 26, 1987. She was a 1977 graduate of Zanesville High School and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1981. She was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church, were she served on the Pastor Parish Committee. She taught Junior Worship, was a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry and the Bell Choir. Beth was Bank Manager of Century National Bank Kroger Branch, and was a former employee of the Zanesville Country Club. She enjoyed scrap booking, needle work and was a past member of the Pieceable Quilters Club. She left quite a legacy for her daughters by getting them involved in piano, dancing and marching band. She was very active in the Tri Valley Marching Band Program. Beth was a loving daughter, wife and mother and a very talented women who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Beth is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters: Megan Elizabeth Weidig and Mary Rachel Weidig both of the home; one sister: Bonnie L. (Joe) O'Neil of Columbus; one brother: Robert D. (Joan) Irvin of Centerville; her mother and farther-in-law: Fritz & Joan Weidig of Zanesville; one sister-in-law: Lori & Steve Moyer; one brother-in-law: Chuck (Teresa) Weidig of Katz, TX; and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one niece: Adrienne Leigh Irvin. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 17, at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue and one hour prior to funeral services from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 Am, Wednesday, November 18, at Coburn United Methodist Church with Dr. Dennis J. Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or Tri Valley Marching Band in Beth's name. |
