| About | Emily Vandenbark, 97, of Granville, formerly of Hopewell and Zanesville, passed away on Oct. 30, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Emily was born on July 1, 1919 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Frederick and Alta King. She graduated from Lash High School and Meredith Business College. Emily was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Vandenbark and two brothers Emerson King and Wayne King. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Tom Thompson. Her grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Jamie Thompson of Circleville, Lori and Steve Williams of Orange, California, and Beth Thompson and Eric Horsman of Greenville, North Carolina. Great-grandchildren Cole and Connor Williams, Isaac and Luke Thompson, and Elias Horsman. A private graveside service will be held for Emily. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, Christ's Table, or a local humane society. |
