| About | Emma Kay Howard, 82 of Zanesville, passed away 6:10 AM, Friday, October 14, 2022, at Altercare of Zanesville. She was born Monday, March 4, 1940, in Zanesville, the daughter of Lawrence E. Mathews and Ruth C. (Henry) Mathews, and married Richard L. “Dick” Howard on June15, 1963. Emma Kay was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was very active in Ladies Aid. She was a 1958 graduate of Zanesville High School and spent over 30 years in the banking industry retiring in 2000, from PNC Bank. In addition to her husband of over 59 years, Emma Kay is survived by two children, Kristi (Dean) Marling and Kevin (Kristie) Howard; grandchildren, Cory (Kayla) Marling, Wesley (Lindsay) Marling, Chase Howard and Chloe Howard; great grandchildren, who she adored, Willow, Bentley, Bexley and Blakely; one brother, Gene (Kathy) Mathews; several sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Emma Kay was preceded in death by one brother, James Mathews, nephews David Mathews and Scott Hammer. Private Family Graveside Services were held in Zanesville Memorial Park with Rev. Andrew Wilson officiating. |
