About PICKERINGTON: Emma Norma Herold Linn, age 90, of Pickerington, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at Winchester Place nursing home.

Norma was born October 28, 1921 in Zanesville, where she grew to adulthood and graduated from the former Lash High School, Class of 1940. She married her loving husband of 64 years, Charles Clayton Linn, on December 21, 1947, who survives; as does her adored son, Charles "Chuck" Jr. and his equally loved wife, Corie, of Canal Winchester. She is also survived by nephews, Jerry (Dottie) Stockdale of Brunswick, GA., and Rodney (Debbie) Herold of Lancaster; and nieces, Melanie ("Butch") Bleaknie of Zanesville and Dorothy Jean Jenkins of Valrico, FL; also sister-in-law, Majorie A. Linn; and nieces, Dorothy Barns and Violet Mae Cramer, all of the Twin Falls ID area; and several great (and great-great) nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto & Lula Huey Herold; her older sister, Amelia (Mel) Stockdale; and younger brother, Otto (Betty) Herold Jr.; as well as brothers-in-law, Melvin Stockdale and Floyd Linn; sister-in-law, Betty Herold; and her dearly loved niece, Christina Herold of Columbia, SC.

Norma was a friendly outgoing person who enjoyed travel and visiting with friends and relatives but more than anything else she loved the comfort of her own home and was content to spend endless time in that environment. Norma was a lifelong supporting member of St John's Lutheran Church, Order of Eastern Star and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, all of Zanesville.

Graveside service and burial will be 9:30 am Friday at Zanesville Memorial Park.
