| About | Erma Louise Drake, 92, of Zanesville passed away Monday, January 27, 2014, at Beckett House in New Concord. She was born on July 31, 1921 in Zanesville to the late Roy Butler and Hazel Butler Blake. Erma was a 1941 graduate of Zanesville High School. She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for the French Shop, Orpha Flowers Dress Shop and for Dr. Knapp and Dr. McGinnis. Erma enjoyed ceramics, line dancing and square dancing but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She is survived by her loving daughter: Darla (Mike) Montgomery, her three caring grandchildren: Scott Montgomery, Darrin (Anna) Montgomery and Tiffany (Brent) Wilson, one sister: Bonnie Miller and a half-brother: John Butler. She also leaves her seven great-grandchildren whom she adored: Ashley, Kelsie and Brianna Montgomery, Seth and Austin Montgomery and Emma and Aidan Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Louis Drake, who died on May 5, 1984, a brother: Roy Butler, Jr. and her step-father: John Blake. Erma will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Lou in Zanesville Memorial Park |
