| About | Everett Eugene Schilling, age 82, of Worthington, passed away on May 12, 2011 at Mt. Carmel East. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on May 20, 1928 to the late Ray and Bessie (Osborne) Schilling. Everett graduated from Lash High School in 1946. He was a career Professional Engineer, earning his degree from Ohio Northern University in 1952. He also served his country proud as a U.S. Marine during WWII. At the age of 65, Everett declared to the family, "I've been born again". You may have received one of his "newsletters" which he handed out to hundreds. These were words of encouragement and statements of his faith. Through his faith in Jesus Christ, Everett received God's eternal reward in the kingdom of heaven. Everett was a member of the Grace Brethren Church in Worthington. He is survived by his children, Daniel (Joanie) Schilling, Elaine (Darrell) Davis, Cynthia Schilling; grandchildren, Adam, Joshua, Benjamin, Jonathan, Rachel, Stephanie; great grandchildren, Blake, Faith; brother, Vernon (Maggie) Schilling; former wife, M. Elizabeth (Brown) Hinkle; nieces, nephews and cousins. Burial will be on Monday 1:30 p.m. at the Zanesville Memorial Park, with military honors. |
