About | Frederick J. Heinle, 92, of Washington, PA, a Zanesville native, died Tuesday, May 15, 1990, at his home. Mr. Heinle attended Zanesville public schools and graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Mr. Heinle was employed for 39 years with the Hazel Atlas Glass Division of Continental Can. He was superintendent of Hazel Atlas Plant No. 2 in Washington, PA, and also served as head of Manufacturing operations at facilities in Oakland and Pomona, CA. He also served as president and chairman of Washington Federal Savings Bank. He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Washington. Mr. Heinle was active in civic affairs, including the Washington County Historical society, the Chamber fo Commerce, Salvation Army and YMCA. He was the oldest member of the Washington Rotary Club. He was born June 23, 1897, in Zanesville, son of John and Karoline Schwenger Heinle. Surviving are a son, Dr. Frederick J. Heinle Jr. of Lancaster, PA; a daughter, Gwen H. Henry of Birmingham, AL, and seven grandchildren. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. |
