| About | Frederick M. Norris, 91, of Zanesville, passed away at Genesis Morrison House Thursday, August 30, 2012. He was born September 26, 1920 in Zanesville the son of the late Basil, Sr. and Nellie Simmons Norris. Frederick was employed as a janitor at Westview Elementary School and an Air Force Veteran having served in World War II. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for sixty-five years. He is survived by his son John Poling of Zanesville, daughters Daphne Roberts also of Zanesville, Martha Clark of Somerset, Ohio and Rebecca Pettry of Columbus, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Betty Pearl Norris, who passed January 4, 2006; sister Beatrice Mattey; brothers Zane, William, Basil Jr., John, Richard, and Jim Norris; grandson Carl Brooks Jr. A private family burial will take place at a later date. |
