| About | It is with profound sadness yet, hearts full of gratitude that we announce the passing of Freya Frampton on June 18, 2026 at the age of 79. Freya was born on October 28, 1946, in Zanesville, Ohio, to Walter Taylor, and Katie Henke Taylor. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Frampton, who passed away in 2019. She is survived by her loving sister, Marsha McBride of Dresden, her daughter, Shayne, Frampton of Vero Beach, Florida; and her son, Matthew Taylor Frampton, and Zanesville, Ohio, along with his wife Jennifer. She also lives behind her cherished grandchildren, Drew Beerbugglin, his wife, Liz, of Colorado and her beloved granddaughter, Olivia. Freya was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zanesville and attended St. John’s College in Winfield, Kansas. Her faith remained a guiding force throughout her life, shaping the kindness, compassion, and unwavering values she shared with everyone she met. She devoted more than 20 years of her career to an Ohio University Zanesville, where she served as office manager. While she excelled in her work, it was the relationships she built that became her greatest legacy. She mentored countless student workers with patient, humor and genuine care. Many of those former students continue to visit her years later, even during her time in the nursing home a testament to the lasting impact she had on their lives. To know, Freya was to know a woman who is beautiful inside and out – – spirited, witty, wonderfully ornery, fiercely, loving, and endlessly generous. She had a quick sense of humor, a sharp wit, and an infectious laugh. She welcomed people with open arms, gave willingly of herself, and found joy in caring for others. Through kindness, listening, and humor, she had a gift for making people feel seen valued and loved. In her later years, Freya faced the heartbreaking challenges of dementia. Although the disease gradually took many of her memories and abilities, it never diminished the love that surrounded her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is finally free – – free from the limitations of her body, free from the confusion that clouded her mind, and now at peace. We rejoice in knowing she has been made whole again and reunited with her beloved husband, Tom. Those who knew Fraya will remember her spirit and likely hear her reminding us not to fuss too much. She would want us to laugh, share stories spend time together and cherish the people we love. The greatest way we can honor her is by living with the same generosity, humor, resilience, and love that she shared so late throughout her life. Though our hearts ache with her absence we are forever grateful for the gift of having known and loved her. Her laughter, strength, kindness, and unconditional love will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and endlessly loved. In accordance with her wishes for an anatomical donation to Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, continuing her lifelong commitment to helping others through education. A celebration of life and funeral service will be held in Zanesville, Ohio at a later date. Details will be announced by the family. |
