About | Gary “Burt” Burton, 57, of Redfield, went to be with the Lord at 3:38 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Kobacker House Hospice. Gary was born December 13, 1957 in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of the late Brownie and Jean Sidor Burton. He was a member of Crooksville Pilgrim Holiness Church and a graduate of Zanesville High School. He was an over the road truck driver working for various trucking companies. Gary loved to walk, listen to music, and spoil his dog, Brutus. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debbie Brown Burton of the home; one son, Dustin G. Burton of New Lexington; one daughter, Kayla Jean Burton (Andy) of the home; two sisters, Colleen (Raymond) Spink of Canada and Joanne (Mike) Murphy of Zanesville; two brothers, Larry (Debbie) Burton of New Philadelphia, Ohio and Tom (Marleigha) Burton of Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Nancy Ellers and Rev. William Syfert officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Zanesville Memorial Park, 1475 Military Rd., Zanesville, Ohio 43701. |
