| About | Gary Butcher, 54, of Duncan Falls, passed away at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 at Genesis Hospital, Good Samaritan Campus. Gary was born January 9, 1956 in Zanesville the son of George "Fred" Butcher of Frazeysburg and the late Carolyn (Quinn) Butcher. He was the Owner and Operator Butcher's Concessions. He was a member of the Greater Ohio Showman's Association and the Ohio Fair Managers association. He formerly served for 15 years on the Wayne Township Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia (McPeak) Butcher whom he married November 4, 1978; one son, Joshua (Cristina) Butcher; his grandchildren, Paiton, Logan, Thomas, Samatha and one grandchild soon to be; his brothers, Jeff (Rita) Butcher of Zanesville, Dean Butcher of Frazeysburg, Tom (Roseanne) Butcher of Frazeysburg; and a sister, Karen (Ted) Crozier of Dresden; a special uncle, Danny (Kristy) Quinn; many nieces, nephews and special friends. In addition to his mother; he is preceded in death by two infant grandchildren, Fredrick and Franklin Butcher; and a sister, Lisa Butcher Birkhimer. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 4th, with Kenny Ballenger officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery. |
