Gary G. Graham Obituary (1945 - 2024)

Graduation Year Class of 1963
Date of Birth Feb 26, 1945
Date of Passing May 25, 2024
About Gary Gene Graham, 79, of Zanesville, Ohio, joined his wife and son in Eternal rest on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Gary was born February 26, 1945 in Zanesville, son of the late Virgil F. and Gertrude E. (Jones) Graham, Sr. In addition to his parents, Gary is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Graham; his cherished son, Shawn Graham; and his brother, Virgil R. Graham.

Gary leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved and devoted best friends, his cat, Tigger and his dog, Nikko; as well as various nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Gary was a graduate of Zanesville High School, class of 1963. He went on to serve in the National Guard before taking on a career as a draftsman and designer. Gary worked for several companies throughout his life, including McGraw-Edison, Diamond Power, Advanced Bus Industries and Dollar General. He was a friendly man, who never met a stranger. Gary's neighbors and friends loved him dearly. Gary's best friend was his son, Shawn. The two enjoyed countless adventures together. They were both avid sports fans: NFL, NBA, NASCAR, you name it. But they especially enjoyed Ohio State sports of all kinds, men's and women's.

Gary loved being around people and one of his favorite pastimes was dining out. Gary was a lifetime member of Norval Park Church of Christ where he enjoyed fellowship with his congregation. He helped operate the church bus in the past. If one ever needed information on the happenings of Muskingum County, Gary would have the answers. He was a kindhearted man who will be missed.

You may call on the family Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, in Zanesville. Minister Mark Tonkery officiating. Gary will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
