About | Gary Lynn Warner, 81, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born February 10, 1942, in Zanesville to the late Raphael and Lucille Swick Warner. He was a 1960 graduate of Zanesville High School worked at Warner Tool and Die. Gary protected our freedom and served his country in the United States Army National Guard during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the American Legion Post #29 and a Free and Accepted Master Mason. He loved motorcycles, especially his Honda Gold Wing and trap shooting. He was a faithful donor to St. Jude and Shriners. Gary was very down to earth and a great husband, father, brother and grandfather. Surviving is his son Dana (Cecilia) Warner; daughter Debbie (Paul) Stemm; two stepdaughters: Terri (Kevin) Moore and Robin (Doug) McQuaid; a sister Gloria (Norman) Poynter; three grandchildren: Kelsey Stemm, Brittnee (Matt) George and Brandon Warner; and one great granddaughter Maddelyn George. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Zella Sheppard Warner, and a great granddaughter Melody George. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with burial to follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
