| About | Georgeanne "Sissy" Nicholson Smith, 77, of Zanesville, passed away May 18, 2008, in San Antonio, Texas, after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 5, 1930, in Cambridge. She attended Lash High School and graduated in 1948. She worked for Line Material, at Bethesda Hospital for many years, where she was known as the T.V. Lady, and at Stambaugh's Hardware, from where she retired from. She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Campbell of San Antonio, Texas and Paula Smith of Zanesville; a son, Christopher Smith of Lexington, Ky.; and one granddaughter, Caitlin Smith. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Slaydon of Wooster; and her brother, Andrew Nicholson of Charlotte, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Bernard and Helen Nicholson; a sister, Sarah Ruth; and grandson, Shawn Campbell. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, at St. James Episcopal Church, 155 N. Sixth St. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge. |
