About | Gregory Lee Armstrong, 48, of Zanesville passed away at 10:37 am, Monday, November 24, 2003 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital emergency room after a sudden illness. Greg was an organ donor as per his wishes. Born August, 29, 1955, in Zanesville, he was the son of Lester Armstrong Jr. of McConnelsville and the late Ramonda Nethers Armstrong. Greg was a bottle maker for Owens-Brockway and was a member of Moose Lodge 867. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, boating and golf. Greg was one of the most generous people you ever wanted to know. Surviving Gregg are his father; stepmother, Denise Armstrong of McConnelsville; sons, Adam Armstrong of New Concord and Ryan (Chris Ann) Armstrong of Fayetteville, NC, serving in the military overseas; grandchildren, Madison Standoff, Breen Hazer and Isaiah Armstrong; brothers, Lester Allan (Karen) Armstrong, Jeffrey Linn (Lisa) Armstrong, both of Zanesville, Mike Armstrong (Debbie Anderson ) of Newark and Mark Armstrong of Zanesville; a sister, Leista Lang of Zanesville; a stepsister, Nicole Petti of McConnelsville; his fiancee, Valinda Parris Snelling of Zanesville; grandparents, Leola Coen of Zanesville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; and grandfather, Lester Arthur Armstrong. Committal service to be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Amsterdam. |
