| About | Harold E. Mautz, 92, of Zanesville, died at 9:34 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. He was born April 16, 1916, in Muskingum County, the son of the late Edward and Hazel Bell Mautz. Harold was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Stovertown, graduate of Lash High School class of 1935 and a retired truck driver and mechanic for Hennes Trucking. Surviving are his daughters, Jo Ann (Bill) Creiglow and Patty (Mark) Anders of Lancaster and Sondra (Charles) Rath of Gratiot; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Mautz, who died Dec. 21, 2008; sister, Marie Mautz; and brothers, Foster Mautz and James Mautz. Calling hours will begin at 11 a.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Committal service will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Eastside Community Ministries, Christ's Table or the charity of one's choice. |
