About | Harold “Junior” Gerald Snyder, 71 of Zanesville, died 10:59 AM, Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Genesis Hospital Emergency Department. He was born Wednesday, July 16, 1947, in Zanesville, the son of Harold Gerald Snyder, Sr. and Betty (Evans) Snyder. He married Diana (Rose) Snyder on Saturday, November 6, 2004, and was a member of Northside Church Of The Nazarene. Junior was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was a Lifetime member of VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29. Junior enjoyed bowling, was a Pittsburgh Steelers and an Ohio State Buckeye Fan and greatly enjoyed ocean cruising. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who cherished the time he spent with his family. Junior’s family would like to thank the staff of Interim Health Care and Dr. Dembski and his staff at Kidney Care of Zanesville for the special attention and care given to him during his illness. In addition to his wife: Diana Snyder of the home, Junior is survived by three daughters: Amy (Scott) Ribble, Sherri (Jack) Maxwell, and Michelle (Scott) Wingrove; grandchildren: Alex Ribble, Joe (Ashley) Fleming, Katie Klingler, Jamie Fleming, Chelsea Bates, and Collin Lamb; great grandchildren: Marleigh, Joey, Bo and the puppies; two sisters: Wanda (Donnie) Lindamore and Barb (Tony) Spangler and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by one son: Brian Snyder. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 31, 2018, at The Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. A Memorial Service will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. James Miller officiating. The United States Army, VFW Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29 will conduct full military honors at the funeral home. |
