About | Harold Norman King, 66, of Zanesville, passed away at 11:03 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born April 17, 1946, in Zanesville, a son of the late Willard Edward Sr. and Gertrude Mae Swope King. He was a 1964 graduate of Zanesville High School. He worked as the head grocery clerk for Kroger for 30 years. He was a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church. He served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the U.S. Navy. Surviving are a son, Wesley King of Zanesville; two daughters, Kimberly Jeren (Tom McNany) of Zanesville and Danielle King of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Amanda Jeren and Sydney Jeren; a brother, Willard “Bill” Jr. (Charlotte) King of Zanesville; nieces and nephews, Karla (Jason) Rusk, Shari (Jeff) Wilson, Susan (Jeff) Haller and Kevin (Jo) King; ten great nieces and nephews; and several friends at South 60. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents; and aunts and uncles. Harold will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery with VFW George Selsam Post #1058 holding full military rites at the graveside. |
