| About | Harold R. Smith, 87, of Zanesville, passed away July 28, 2017 at Genesis Hospital. He was born February 26, 1930, a son of Raymond A. and Nellie Smith. He was a 1949 graduate of Lash High School. He was retired from Big Bear and I.G.A. groceries. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Finley Methodist Church. He attended Meredith Business College. Harold loved to travel, gardening and was a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital for many years. He is survived by his wife Joanne of 64 years of marriage, two daughters Amber (Oscar) Coleman of Nashport, April Smith of Zanesville, one son Chris Smith of Zanesville, three grandchildren Angela Cramer of Zanesville, Cody (Brittany) Basehart of Zanesville, Dr. Ryan Weaver of Zanesville, two great grandsons Zackary Baker and Dakota Cramer of Zanesville and one great- grand- daughter Amelia Basehart. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Flossie Toole, one brother Ron Smith. No calling hours will be observed and a private service for immediate family will be held with burial in Zanesville Memorial Park. |
