About | ZANESVILLE -Helen Jean Paisley, 91, of Zanesville, died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House. She was born Sept. 22, 1916, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Howard and Hilda Kennel Dailey. She was a retired sales clerk with the former Newberry Department Store. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, where she was a member of the former Conrad Class and Women's Guild and a Sunday school teacher, retiring in 1971. She was also a volunteer at Christ's Table. Surviving are a daughter, Carol (Robert) Kreps of Zanesville; three sons, James David Paisley, Roger D. Paisley and Ronald L. Paisley of Zanesville; a sister, Virginia Lawson of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Lynda (Pat) Gilliland, Layne Harris, James S. (Lora) Paisley, Chancy E. Paisley and Troy (Erica) Paisley; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Paisley, who died Dec. 11, 1971; two brothers, Wayne Dailey and Dr. William D. Dailey; and a grandchild, Laury Kreps. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the funeral home, with the Pastor Mitch Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
