| About | ZANESVILLE -Helen Jean Paisley, 91, of Zanesville, died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House. She was born Sept. 22, 1916, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Howard and Hilda Kennel Dailey. She was a retired sales clerk with the former Newberry Department Store. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, where she was a member of the former Conrad Class and Women's Guild and a Sunday school teacher, retiring in 1971. She was also a volunteer at Christ's Table. Surviving are a daughter, Carol (Robert) Kreps of Zanesville; three sons, James David Paisley, Roger D. Paisley and Ronald L. Paisley of Zanesville; a sister, Virginia Lawson of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Lynda (Pat) Gilliland, Layne Harris, James S. (Lora) Paisley, Chancy E. Paisley and Troy (Erica) Paisley; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Paisley, who died Dec. 11, 1971; two brothers, Wayne Dailey and Dr. William D. Dailey; and a grandchild, Laury Kreps. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the funeral home, with the Pastor Mitch Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave., or Immanuel United Church of Christ, 105 S. Seventh St., Zanesville, Ohio, 43701. |
