Herb "Ozzy" Osborne, 56 of Zanesville died Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Columbus following a sudden illness.He was born Saturday, December 29, 1956 in Zanesville the son of Herbert Osborne and Marie Teresa (Greten) Osborne. He was married on Saturday, May 25, 1996 but together since 1990 to Ronda (Carpenter) Osborne. He was a Catholic by Faith. He retired from Ohio Department of transportation after 27 years, after retirement he worked for Bates Auto Isle and was a member of the Knights of Columbus 2nd Degree and had been a member of the Y-City Bikers. He was an avid race fan and especially enjoyed racing with son Chase. He enjoyed spending time with his son whether riding four wheelers or rooting for Chase while he played sports or working together in the garage. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. And he was a member of "The Barn."In addition to his wife he is survived by, one son Chase David Osborne of Zanesville; three sisters, JoAnn Hales of Zanesville, Sue Jacks, of Newark, Carol Osborne of Zanesville, one brother, Rick (Vickie) Osborne of Zanesville; Father and mother-in-law Randy and Marty Carpenter of Zanesville brother-in-law, Mike (Karen) Carpenter; three nieces, Jodi, Stephanie, Allex; nephew Matt, several great-nieces and nephew, and a whole host of friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Denny Hales. Donations may be made to the Chase Osborne Educational fund at Century National Bank.Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Tuesday at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home 935 Forest Ave. Zanesville. A Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Olive Cemetery Zanesville. |
