About | Hubert Kenton (Kent) King went to meet his Savior on March 5, 2022. He was born March 21, 1933 in Zanesville, the son of Hubert K. King and Audrey G. Young King. Kent graduated from Lash High School and attended Ohio Wesleyan and Ohio University. He was employed by Racine/Dana Hydraulics for 41 years in the roles of Purchasing and Plant Manager. Kent was a member of Market Street Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. He served on the Goodwill Industries Board for 18 years and was their Director for 2 years. He was a Master Mason of Lodge of Amity #5 F& AM and a Prophet of Amrou Grotto. Kent loved watching and cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes every fall and spending time with his family. He is survived by two daughters Linda (Lance) Riehl and Molly (Bill) Savard; a son Steve K. (Debbie) King: five Grandchildren, Tobi (Jeff) Doyle, Stephanie (Travis) Spencer, Jennifer (Brandon) Tumblin, Jessica (Cesar) Kohler, and Taylor (Alison) Reardon; seven great-grandchildren, Emma, Blake, Hannah, Addison, Hunter, Ashlyn and Jason; a sister Kay (Dave) Lechner; sister-in-laws, Bernice Osborne, Anita Coffey, Carolyn Coffey, Judy Archer, and Jane (Frank) Tignor . In addition to his parents, Kent was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Helen F. King whom he married on August 15, 1949; a grandson Jason Kohler; brother- in- laws, Rolland Coffey, Dick Coffey; and sister-in-law Dorothy Cook. Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Market Street Baptist Church, 140 North 6th Street, Zanesville, with Rev. Howard Thompson officiating. He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville. |
