| About | Ida Ellen Labaki, 84 of Zanesville, died 1:24 PM, Monday, February 22, 2021, at her home. She was born Sunday, November 22, 1936, in Zanesville, the daughter of Morgan Hern and Anna (Lovejoy) Hern-Jones. She married Emil Labaki on Saturday, June 7, 1958, and was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Ida was an avid doll collector and enjoyed making and decorating all cakes especially wedding and anniversary cakes. She also loved to crochet. Ida is survived by two sons: Douglas (Anita) Labaki and Dr. Randall (Zhenya Fonin) Labaki; two grandchildren: Bryan and Aaron Labaki; one sister: Patty (Bill) Murgatroyd. In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Labaki, and three sisters: Edith Dozer, Roberta Gee and Janet Kimble. Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, March 1, 2021, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Jan C.P. Sullivan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. |
