About | Jack Roland Sarbaugh passed from this earthly world into his heavenly reward in the early hours of August 12th, 2022. Born on May 21, 1931, Jack was the youngest son of Albert and Faith Sarbaugh. His siblings, Betty, Gwen, Forrest, Don, and Roy are all deceased. Jack graduated from Lash High School in 1949 and continued his education at The Ohio State University. His military career was as an officer in the USAF. Jack then earned an MBA from Syracuse University while working as a pharmaceutical salesman for the Upjohn Company before retiring in 1989 after 38 years. During this time Jack resided with his family in Rome, NY. Jack married the love of this his life, Faye Louise Bash on September 21, 1952. Together they raised three children. Jack was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Rome serving in many leadership capacities. He was also a Boy Scout leader, president of the PTA at Stokes Elementary School and was active in the US Power Squadron. After returning to Ohio in 1999, Jack and Faye settled in Lancaster. He became a member of Gideon’s International and spoke in many churches promoting this ministry. More recently he was a member of Faith Memorial Church. Over the years, Jack enjoyed sailing, golfing, skiing, classical music and was an avid reader. Jack and Faye became Snowbirds in 2010 and spent their winters in Bradenton, Florida. Jack is survived by his wife, Faye, his children Karen (Mark) Barnett, Vance (Kathy) Sarbaugh, Kelly Sarbaugh, his five grandchildren and his five great grandchildren. |
