| About | James "Bill" William Elson, II, 72, of Zanesville, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Genesis Hospital. Bill was born February 8, 1949 to the late James W. and Betty E. (Jones) Elson, I. In addition to his parents, Bill is also preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Elson. Bill leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved daughters, Alice (John) Held, Lisa (Don) Mayle, Lori Young (Gerry Cannon) , Abby (Mike) Moorehead, Amy (Eddie) Young and Amber (Lee) Mears; the mother of his children, Mary McGee; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sandy (the late Don) Stephens and Doug (Rose) Elson; beloved companion, his dog Hailey; and a host of other relatives and friends. Bill was a hardworking man, dedicating over 50 years to his career in parts sales. He was also a devoted father and grandfather. Bill placed his family, his pets and his work above all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation for close friends and family will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Graveside burial services will follow at 12 p.m., in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, located off Pleasant Grove Rd, in Zanesville. |
