About | James D. Mizer, age 77 of Cambridge, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 30, 1933 in Zanesville, a son of the late Harold Mizer and Marjorie (Morris) Mizer. Mr. Mizer was a 1951 graduate of Zanesville High School and a graduate of Marietta College with a Bachelors of Science. He served his country in the U.S. Army and Reserves from 1957 to 1963. He was a District Manager of Columbia Gas in Cambridge for 40 years and a member of the Elks #448 in Cambridge. James leaves: his wife, Lana I. (Moore) of the home, they were married in 1983; two daughters, Linda (Gary) Whitis of Dublin, and Teri (Jim) Weber of The Woodlands, TX; two step-daughters, Debra (George) Lorenz of Pataskala and Christa Daymut and Bob Daymut of Cambridge; three sisters, Marsha Wiles, Judy Evans and Sue Mizer; brother Gerry Mizar; twelve grandchildren, Brooke, Corbin and Aubrielle Whitis, Taylor Weber, Daniel Thomas, Ethan and Wesley Lorenz, Michael (Kalie) Daymut, Gunnar, Gage and Andrew Dammit. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Gierhart and a brother, William Mizer. |
