| About | James L. Davis, 79, of Zanesville, passed away at 3:38 am Monday, September 5, 2011 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House following a long illness. He was born August 15, 1932 in Zanesville, the son of the late Myron "Rusty" McDonald Davis and Mary Todd Davis Shimer. He attended Monroe Elementary and Hancock Junior High School and graduated from Lash High School in 1950. He was formerly employed by Zanesville Post Office and Bailey Drug Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 57 years of the home, 2 sons among them Jerry Davis of Columbus, daughter Barbara Vakaleris of Dana Point, California, and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson Dimitrius Vakaleris. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. |
