About | James “Jim” Jasper, 88 of Zanesville died at 1:30 AM Monday, February 05, 2018 at the Oaks at Bethesda after a lengthy illness. He was born on Monday, April 8, 1929 in Zanesville the son of John and Dorothy Keiffer Jasper. James “Jim” was a United States Navy Veteran, a member of Coburn United Methodist Church, and the Zanesville Yacht Club. He was also a lifelong member of OOGA (Ohio Oil and Gas Association) and was inducted into the OOGA hall of fame in 2002. He founded Formation Cementing in 1978 which still to this day provides Ohio and gas cementing for Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. He was also the former co-founder of Cemenco Services. He is survived by three daughters, Betsey (Fred) Belen, Molly (Terry) Guilbault, and Jill (James) Wagenheim; five sons, Mark Jasper, Justin (Michelle) Jasper, Scott Jasper, Brian (RaeAnne) Jasper and Todd (Donna) Jasper; grandchildren, Kory, Angela, Caton, Ashlee, Dylan, Aaron, Jordan, Emily, Jill, and Brady and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iris L. Jasper, Brother Carl Jasper, Sister Jeanette Jasper and grandson Travis Krouskoupf. Friends may call 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 08, 2018 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home with Reverend Webster Cox officiating. Burial with military honors will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park. |
