About James Edward Tucker, 50, of Zanesville, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at the Morrison House Hospice.

He was born July 9, 1951, in Zanesville.

Mr. Tucker was a lifelong resident of Zanesville and the owner/operator of Mother Tucker's Drive Up. He was a member of the McKinley School PTO, and affiliated with Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a 1969 graduate of Zanesville High School, received his B.S. at Muskingum College and attended Capital Law School in Columbus. Mr. Tucker was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam and achieving the rank of Sergent by age 19. Jim was known for his unconditional kindness. He will be greatly missed and always loved by many.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Davis Tucker; a daughter, Tisha (Thomas) Cash; granddaughter Monet Cash; his mother, Doris Juanita Brown Tucker; a brother, Jeffrey (Shari) Tucker; Three sisters Cheryl (Gene) Hayes of Buckeye Lake, Donna (Dave) Stansberry of Nashport and Barbara (Doug) Wells of Zanesville; two nieces, Shante Briggs and Danielle Tucker; six nephews, Adam and Andy Stansberry, Chad and Chris Lemley and Derek and Dillon Tucker, and grandmothers, Beulah Tucker and Lessie Brown.

He was preceded in death by his father Raymond (Jack) Tucker; grandfathers, Elmer Tucker and Clell Brown; and an uncle, Harold Tucker.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
