| About | James Lee Murphy, 45, of Coshocton, Ohio, formerly of Zanesville, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from a sudden medical condition, surrounded by his family. James was born July 31, 1978, in Zanesville, son of Karen Edwards and David Murphy. James is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Blanche Hill and William and Eunice Murphy, Sr. In addition to his beloved parents, Karen Edwards and David (Marilyn) Murphy, James leaves to cherish his memory, his most prized accomplishments, his children, Cameron, Camille and Sylence; step-siblings, Shawntel Edwards, Kyisha Edwards and Kenzi Edwards; several aunts and uncles; many cousins and other relatives; and numerous friends. James was a devoted father. His children were his world and he loved to be involved in all of their various activities. James loved soccer, baseball, basketball: you name it. He was an avid sports fan. James was so proud of the athletic accomplishments of his children. He also enjoyed being outdoors fishing in his free time. James was a wonderful son, father and friend to many. He will be deeply missed. You may call on the family Monday, May 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services (Funeral will be livestreamed on Burrell Funeral Services Facebook page).
