| About | Janet R. Mees, 69, of Zanesville, died at 9:05 p.m. Nov. 18, 2008, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. Janet was born April 13, 1939, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Richard and Bertha Byers Williams. She retired after 30 years as a customer service representative for Huntington Bank. A member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Janet enjoyed the ocean and gardening. She was a very caring person always putting someone else ahead of herself. Her love for her family was her biggest enjoyment whether attending a grandchild's sporting event or any family function. Janet is survived by her husband of 50 years, James "Jim" Mees; son, Mark (Amy) Mees of Ann Arbor, Mich.; twin daughters, Debbie (Kevin) Philip and Dee (Paul) Perry of Zanesville; grandchildren, Matt Philip, Chris Philip, Chad Perry, Jaime Morgan, Marc Perry, David Mees and Emma Mees; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Andrew Philip, Sean Perry and KJ Morgan; and sister, Sherry (Mike) Luc of Canal Fulton; niece, Shawnda McCollum. Calling hours will begin at noon with services at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dan Sparling officiating. Committal services will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Educational Fund, 128 S. Seventh St., Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave., is handling arrangements for the Mees family. |
