| About | GAINESVILLE, Fla. -Mrs. Jean Ann Mechaney, 73, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at Woodlands Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Mechaney moved to Gainesville in 1990 from Grand Rapids, Mich., where she worked and retired from Dayton Hudson Co. after 15 years of service. She was a member of Oak Park Baptist Church and was very active in the Sunday school program. She considered herself a homemaker and wife raising three sons. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, James L. Mechaney of Gainesville; three sons, Matthew James Mechaney of Inglis, Fla.; Michael Scott Mechaney of Gainesville and Christopher L. Mechaney of Ada, Mich.; and three grandsons, Scott Mechaney, Ryan Mechaney and Garret Mechaney. Graveside services will be scheduled at a later time in Zanesville Memorial Park in Zanesville.
