Jean Price Bonifield, 88, of Zanesville, died at 1:15 A.M. Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Primrose Retirement Community of Zanesville. She was born February 17, 1926, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Frank and Irma Heinle Price. Jean graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Education and was a long time school teacher serving in the Zanesville City and Maysville School Districts. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Zanesville Country Club for over 50 years, Zanesville Museum of Art, and had worked at The Katy Did with her friends for many years. Jean was an avid antique and pottery collector. Surviving are a daughter, Debby Schwab of Cape Coral, Florida and a son, John Schwab of Dublin, Ohio; two granddaughters, Brooke and Kara Schwab both of Columbus; close relatives, George Moffett of Zanesville and Lauren Menning of Dublin.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. "Jack" Bonifield Jr.,who died January 5, 1985; two step-sons, Mark and Rick Bonifield and the father of her children, William L. Schwab.Private graveside services will be held at Zanesville Memorial Park with Rev. Steve McGuire officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Noon, Friday, October 3, 2014, at Zanesville Country Club, 1300 Country Club Drive, Zanesville. |
