About JoAnn Curry 83 passed away at her home Thursday morning December 8th, 2016.She was born August 12, 1933 in Zanesville to James Miller Dodson and Mary Edith Lynn Dodson. She graduated from Lash High School 1951. She worked in the office at Armco Steel, East Muskingum Water Authority, Zanesville Municipal Court, and retired from Zanesville City Schools treasurers department.She married A. Joseph Curry June 12, 1954 who passed away August 1, 2007. They were married for 53 years and had three sons; James (Karen) Curry of Warsaw Ohio, Roger Curry of Dayton Ohio, and Nick (Sue) Curry of Zanesville with whom she had made her home for several years. She had nine grandchildren; Melissa (Mike) Bryan, Mindy (Scott) Gifford, Rachel Curry, Hannah Curry, Alaina (Brandon) Fuss-Cheatham, Hugh Curry, Joe Curry, Tacy Miller, Raina (Trent) Daniels and 6 great grandchildren with one on the way.In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren she is survived by her brother Adrian Gene (Lois) Dodson of Lexington Kentucky, her in laws Ada (Junior) Kelly, Janet (Don) Scott, Nan (Jack) Bracken all of Zanesville, and Mike (Teresa) Curry of Massillon Ohio. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister and brother in law Coreen and Bob Burrack of Melbourne Florida, sister in law Ruth (Lou) Jordan, daughter in law Nancy Curry, nephews Gary Jordan and Richard Burrack. JoAnn was a kind, caring person who truly loved and was loved by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. A graveside service with be held at 11:00 am Saturday December 17 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department following the service. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Genesis Hospice or the Muskingum County animal shelter.
