WHITE COTTAGE: Joanna Tignor, 83, of White Cottage, passed away Monday July 27, 2015 at Willow Haven Nursing Home, Zanesville.She was born September 19, 1931 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Perry W. and Irene Holcomb Gilliland.She was a Lash High School graduate; she retired from Maysville Local School District as a cook; she was a member of the Fair Oaks Baptist Church, the Child Conservation League, and the Newton Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.She is survived by her husband, John Tignor; her children, Cynthia A. (Philip) Wood of Zanesville, and Amy (David) McCauley of Lebanon, IN; her grandchildren, Richard Wood, Mercedes (Michael) Potter, Julia (Daniel) McGill, Wesley (Ashlin) Tignor, Matthew Tignor and Catherine Tignor; her great-grandchildren, Faith Wood, Hannah Wood, Joel Wood JR and Rory Beeson; her granddaughter-in-law, Sarah Wood; sister, Zetta Murphy and brother, John Gilliland.Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Tignor; her grandson, Joel Wood; and her great-granddaughter, Rachael Jean Wood.Private family services will be conducted by the William Thompson and Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage. Interment: Wesley Union Cemetery. |
