About Joe Ann Moore, 89, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born August 14, 1934, in Crooksville, to the late John D. and Ada Sisk Kernan. Joe Ann was a 1952 graduate of Lash High School and worked at Williams Bakery and Brockway. She had a very strong Christian faith and in the past few years she spent a lot of time watching religious programs on television. She also enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, hook rugs, cooking and was a tremendous baker.
She is survived by her children: Debra (Mike) Duvall, Trudy (Craig) McBride, Phillis Mallett, David (Kelly) Somers and Glenn "Moe" Moore III; a brother in law Russell McCormick; grandchildren: Michael Duvall Jr., Jason (Lisa) Duvall, Chad Mallett, Daniel (Candy) Mallett, Ryan (Jackie) McBride, Bobby (Lauren) McBride, Lindsay (Geoff) McFarland, Cole Miller, Alexandra (Seth) Andrews, Robert "Robbie" Marker and Rylan Marker; great grandchildren: Phillip Duvall, Colton Duvall, Jaelynn Duvall, Mazie May Mallett, Abriana Mallett, Jackson McBride, Noah McBride, Avery McBride, Clay McBride, Casey McBride, Frankie McFarland, Cylus Miller, Arden Andrews and Emmet Andrews; two great great grandchildren: Omelia Duvall and Oliver Duvall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Glenn H. Moore Jr.; four sisters: Dorothy (George) Sletzer, Anna Marie McDaniel, Linda Stefanitsis and Donna McCormick; son in law Mark Mallett; daughter in law Valerie Somers and grandson Scott Daniel Mallett.
Calling hours will be 11AM to 1PM Monday, November 13, 2023, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. The funeral service will begin at 1PM in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
