| About | John Allan Pletcher, 62 of Nashport, Ohio, died suddenly at 5:30am Sunday, February 26th, at Pinehurst, North Carolina. He was born June 30, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of the late Margaret E. and Walter J. Pletcher. He was a graduate of Zanesville High School, had a Bachelors Degree from Ohio University and a Masters Degree from Xavier University. He recently retired on December 31, 2011, from LMI Custom Mixing in Cambridge, Ohio, where he worked in Quality Control. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #505. John's family was the center of his universe. John lived life to the fullest and he embraced each day with a positive outlook. He was a friend to many and a stranger to none. He loved being around people and never ran out of things to say. John had a passion for a friendly game of golf and always saw it as a time to share laughs with his buddies. He leaves behind many friends at Jaycee's Golf Course and looked forward to golfing with his buddies every Saturday morning in "Pletch's" group. He is survived by the great love of his life of 38 years, Judy (Salahub) Pletcher; his three amazing children, Jennifer (Rob) McGraner, of Pataskala, Ohio, Allison (Fred) Buck of Zanesville, Ohio and Adam Pletcher and his fiancé Jenni Imhoff of Columbus, Ohio; one brother Ron (Mary) Pletcher of Gretna, Nebraska; and a very dear father-in-law, Michael J. Salahub, Sr. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Michael D. Pletcher, who passed away last June; and mother-in-law, Theresa Salahub. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. |
