| About | John Patrick Blair, age 72 of Nashport, OH, died 7:20 AM, Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born Monday, January 29, 1951, in Zanesville, the son of John Richard Blair and Patricia (O’Neil) Blair. He was married on Saturday, June 12, 1971, to his childhood sweetheart, Cathy (Landers) Blair who survives. He was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ. John was devoted to his family and loved spending his time with them. He was an automobile enthusiast enjoying car shows, especially Jeeps. John was a hard worker and could fix anything, and retired from AK Steel as a Journeyman. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Brad (Fiancé Kendra Lacy) Blair of Dresden, and Ben (Kimberly) Blair of Westerville; nine grandchildren, Gabrielle (Seth) Miles, Jacob (Fiancé Hannah Jirles), Rylie, Lucas, Lauren, MacKellan, Kiernan Blair, Brennan, Kennna Blair; two sisters, Sue Davis and Jude (Steve) Hartmeyer and several nieces and nephews, cousin Patsy Longshore. Donations may be made in Johns honor to Genesis Morrison House Hospice, 917 Forest Ave, Zanesville, or North Terrace Church of Christ Brandywine. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. A Funeral service will be held 11AM, Wednesday, October, 18, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Steele officiating. Burial will conclude in the Zanesville Memorial Park Zanesville. |
