About | John Robert Frenzley Jr. 84 a well-known local area Zanesville businessman passed away at his residence Thursday December 23, 2021, with his loving wife by his side. John was born on June 23, 1937, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late John Jasper and Mary Elizabeth Frenzley. He was a 1955 Graduate of Zanesville High School. A true man of God he was member of Union Baptist Church where he served as an Deacon and a former member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church where he was a Steward. John was a long time employee of the city of Zanesville where he retired as Superintendent of the Street and Sanitation Department. John never let the fact they he lost his leg in an accident slow him down, he went on to form The Suburban Disposal Company and quickly became one of the largest Disposal Companies in Southeastern Ohio. His love of people will never be forgotten, each year during the Holidays he and his friend Tom would spend time delivering Ham’s, Candy, and fruit Baskets to those in need. John served our Country and protected our Freedom by serving in The United States Army as a Military Policeman. He is survived by his loving wife Edith Patricia “Pat” Harris Frenzley, whom he married October 26, 1957; and dear friends: Phil (Becky) Palmer, Sarah Ward, Tom Cromwell, Jessica Singh and Josh Snouffer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Robert Walter Frenzley. Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 29 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral service will be at 11am on Thursday in The Snouffer Chapel. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full Military Honors by V.F.W. Post 1058 and American Legion Post 28. |
