| About | Joseph Sumner Brown, Jr., age 89, of Gulfport, passed away on November 27, 2019. He was born in Zanesville, OH, on July 4, 1930 to the late Joseph Sumner Brown, Sr. and Ruth Caliman Brown. Joseph entered into the USAF in July of 1951 and served into July of 1955. On July 3, 1955, he married Catherine Starr and of that union was born three children, Ruthann Brown-Barnett, Joseph “Paw Paw” S. Brown, III, and Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Brown-Mitchell, all of Gulfport. Joseph and Catherine were married 65 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, James “Jim” Brown and Clarence “Callie” Brown. Joseph leaves to protect his loving memories, his loving wife, three children, seven grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Brown-Adams of Zanesville, OH; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Ramsay Memorial United Methodist Church, Gulfport, at 10:00 am. A repast will follow in the fellowship hall. |
