ZANESVILLE: Josephine Marie Fountain England, June 3, 1920 - June 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Francis Marion and Bertha Louise Knight Fountain. Married June 29, 1940 to Rex England who passed away June 5,1992. Josephine died on the 75th anniversary of their marriage.She graduated from Lash High School class of 1938, then graduated from Bethesda school of nursing. She worked Good Samaritan hospital and Surgeons Inc for Dr. Sterling Wallace Obenour of whom she has many fond memories. She is survived by two children Rex (Maureen) England and Suzie (Bill) Altier; four grandchildren, Bruce England Brian ( Brenda) England, Katrina ( John)Kudart, Kristine Mccutcheon fiancé Kery Pettit, Jim Altier, Eric (Jennifer) Altier,Melanie (Tom) Crookston, Melissa (Josh) Paul; great grandchildren, Jessica and Dylan England, Alex and Luke Kudart, Clay and Carter Mccutcheon Isabella, Sophia and Tessa Altier, Megan Altier, Max and Maggie Crookston, Dakota, Amber and Emily Paul. After retirement she lived in Sun City AZ for 30 years. She enjoyed golfing, reading, bowling,quilting and knitting. Member of Coburn United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Olive Branch Chapter # 251, 77 year member. After her friend Charlie Kliffel passed away in September 2013 she moved back to Zanesville and lived at Primrose Retirement Community where she joined the book club, bell choir and knitting club. She met lots of wonderful new friends and connected with ones from her past. Jo would want all the staff at Primrose to know how very much you each meant to her,and for all their love and support, and the staff at the Morrison House for their compassion and care. |
