| About | Judy Kay Sunkel Achauer, 61, of Zanesville passed peacefully into heaven Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at her residence, after a long illness. Judy was born December 15, 1943, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late David D. and Violet Mae Starr Sunkel. She worked for several years at both Good Samaritan and Bethesda Hospitals as a switchboard operator and in admitting. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Genesis Consumer Advisory committee, Judy loved to bake and do cross stitch. Surviving Judy are her husband, Charles W. "Wes" Achauer, whom she married May 26, 1962; daughters, Erin Kay and Al Thomas of Westerville and Cathy Lynn Bollinger of New Albany; a son, Charles A. " Andy" Achauer of Zanesville; grandchildren, Ryan Bollinger of New Albany, Cory Lyons of Zanesville, Cody and Lyndsay Achauer of Zanesville, James, Alexandra and Meredith Thomas of Westerville; sisters, Donna and Jerry Mauk and Penny and David Higgins; a sister-in-law, Patty and Bernie Cavendish, all of Zanesville; a niece; five nephews; and four cousins. Prececing her in death was her parents; and mother-in-law, Gertrude Achauer. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. |
