Julie Ann Mesaros Obituary

Graduation Year Class of 1996
Date of Passing Apr 26, 2012
About Julie Ann Mesaros, 33, of Zanesville went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 26, 2012. She was born on May 11, 1978 in Zanesville, and was the youngest daughter of Jim and Christine Vandenbark Mesaros.

Julie was a 1996 graduate of Zanesville High School. She was co-captain for the boys soccer team, broke school records on the track team, and played trumpet in the band. She attended Walsh University where she played soccer. She also attended Zane State College and graduated in 2000 with an Associates degree in Medical Laboratory. She worked midnight shift in the laboratory at Genesis Healthcare for 10 years. She also was a coach for the ZHS girls soccer team and coached her son's soccer teams. Julie's legacy to her family and friends was her faith in God especially as a single mom who battled courageously against brain cancer for 21 months. She always shared the miracles that she had on her journey glorifying God and helping others along with their walks with God. Even while fighting the cancer, she had a beautiful smile on her face and was always making people laugh during this difficult time. She was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ and attended the Anchor Church.

Julie's greatest joy in life were her two children, Kristofor age 11 and Karlee age 8. She was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Julie was very passionate about the Brazil soccer team and had the trip of a lifetime a week after brain surgery when she got to go see them play. She enjoyed being an active parent in her children's school activities and attending their sporting events. Most of all, she just enjoyed sharing life with her children and did simple things in life like riding bikes, playing board games, and playing the Wii. She also cherished time with her family and going on family vacations to the beach, Disney, and then scrapbooking all the pictures.

In addition to her parents and children, she is survived by two sisters: Sue (Brent) Grissett and Sherry (Scott) Long both of Zanesville, three nephews: Dylan Hamilton, Kaleb Long, and Seth Grissett; her grandfather, Byron Vandenbark of Zanesville, and several aunts and uncles.

Julie was preceded in death by her grandparents: Esthermae (Roberts) Vandenbark-Harmon, and Joe and Beatrice (Cobb) Mesaros.
